The Project

Vintage Partners transformed a pair of architecturally significant yet long-neglected mid-century modern mid-rise office towers into a singular and striking boutique hotel property, boasting a poolside restaurant, a gourmet popsicle stand, and a stylish rooftop cocktail lounge featuring sweeping 360-degree city views.

The Problem

Decrepit-looking, mechanically obsolete and barely occupied, the twin 3-story office towers at 444 and 400 W Camelback were destined for the wrecking ball until Vintage Partners and team targeted this high-traffic location for an exciting adaptive reuse project to transform the property into a vibrant boutique hotel.

The Solution

Stripping both buildings down to their concrete-block bones, Vintage Partners artfully stitched these two disparate towers into a seamless 79-room, $25M boutique Rise Uptown hotel. Brimming with vibrant on-property amenities, from the poolside restaurant to the rooftop lounge, Rise Uptown serves as Uptown Phoenix’s first-ever dining, entertainment and urban hotel hub.

Most important, Rise Uptown honors the property’s original mid-century legacy, blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoors, with open-air spaces pierced with breeze-block and surrounded by lush landscaping, created the perfect environment for daytime poolside soirees and sunset rooftop cocktail parties.
